Cats in the Tweed Shire Pound
The cats and kittens photographed are now available for sale. Friends of the Pound are advertising these potential pets, which have found themselves homeless, to assist the pound to find them homes as quickly as possibe. Under Tweed Shire Council regulations all cats and kittens have to be vet checked to assess whether they are suitable to be re-homed. Please register your interest in a cat or kitten immediately by contacting the Pound on 02 6676 6060. All cats and kittens are sold desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Those being sold to NSW residents must be lifetime registered at the time of sale from the Pound.
If your cat is missing in the Tweed Shire area, please phone the Pound immediately on 02 6676 6060. You may also upload their details and photograph to the Tweed Shire Council's Lost Animals page here. Please view our links page for more information on lost pets. Remember, a microchipped cat with up-to-date address details will get home sooner.

Cats in Foster Care
The following cats are not in the Pound but have been placed in temporary homes with Friends of the Pound foster carers. They are all still in need of a loving home.
The following prices are heavily subsidised by Friends of the Pound as we have to pay for desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, vet-checks, and often other medical expenses are incurred. You can view our monthly expenses here. Sometimes the adoption fee only pays a small part of the animals vet bill. We are a not-for-profit organisation and our vet bills are substantial. If you are in a position to donate more we will be most appreciative. All monies received helps us to rescue more animals.

The following cats are not from the Pound. Their owners are no longer able to care for them and have asked Friends of the Pound to place a notice on this website. Friends of the Pound take no responsibility for these cats. Please contact their owners directly. All cats in NSW must be microchipped and lifetime registered before being passed on to a new owner.
