Dogs in Foster Care
The following dogs are not in the Pound but have been placed in temporary homes with Friends of the Pound foster carers. They are all still in need of a loving home.
The following prices are heavily subsidised by Friends of the Pound as we have to pay for desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, vet-checks, and often other medical expenses are incurred. You can view our monthly expenses here. Sometimes the adoption fee only pays a small part of the animal's vet bill. We are a not-for-profit organisation and our vet bills are huge. If you are in a position to donate more we would be most appreciative. All monies received helps us to rescue more animals.

We are desperate for a permanent or foster home for Bronx. Adopted from the Tweed Pound as a puppy and returned 8 months later with no training he really needs someone who can give him some leash free runs. He doesn't have a nasty bone in his body. Bronx is very friendly and playful - a big, good looking fellow. He has had a little training and wants to learn more. He is great with other dogs, walks perfectly on a lead and could be an inside or outside dog. He loves people and chasing the ball.
