My two beautiful dogs which I lost in Burpengary East, Brisbane, east of the Bruce Highway 8/3/03 at about 7pm are
STILL MISSING

I hope you will be able to help me find them. Perhaps someone out there has seen them. Perhaps you have seen them? The dogs may have slipped their collars and be out of condition by now.

Large Border Collie cross German Shepherd, mostly black with white chest, tummy and paws (no tan) with black face - German Shepherd shape - full tail - could be mistaken for large Kelpie or Belgian Shepherd - pricked ears - 4yrs old - 45 kg (when he went missing) - de-sexed male - wearing blue nylon collar with Brisbane City Council dog registration tag - frightened of loud bangs and loud angry or excited voice (especially male voice) May have had 2 BCC license tags on collar - red & blue.

Medium sized blue/black/white Australian Cattle dog cross Border Collie, black on white cattle dog markings with left side of face black and right side cattle dog colouring and black folded retriever type ears - longish hair, especially hind legs and tail - full tail - solid body of a cattle dog - 2 yrs old - 23 kg (when she went missing) - de-sexed female - wearing beige leather collar with Brisbane City Council dog registration tag and blue RSPCA VIP tag - very friendly

I was visiting my friend in the area. The dogs were in the yard with gate closed. I saw the dogs at about 6:30pm. At about 7pm when we started to leave they had vanished!

Piecing the story together, it seems the next door neighbours arrived home just before 7pm and saw the dogs but shooed them away.

The next sighting I've been told about was someone driving home that night and almost hitting dogs standing in the middle of the road.

There have been no other positive sightings of the dogs. If you or someone you know has seen either one of them or both please contact me. The dogs are unfamiliar with the area and not used to cattle, horses or sheep.

Many thanks for your help.
