*Under Tweed Shire Council regulations all cats and kittens have to be vet checked to assess whether they are suitable for sale.
Vet checks are scheduled for every Thursday.
Those assessed unsuitable are destroyed without being offered for sale.

We only have a short time to find homes for those cats and kittens assessed suitable for sale.
If unsuccessful, council sometimes allow us to rescue these animals.

Please register your interest in a cat or kitten by contacting the pound.

All dogs and cats being sold to NSW residents have to be lifetime registered at the time of sale from the pound.

Take action to reduce the appalling number of unwanted dogs and cats who are killed each year in NSW pounds.

	1557 Dark Torti - Female This female dark torti was caught in a cat trap in Murwillumbah and brought to the pound on Tuesday 27th May. She is very affectionate and good natured. She appears to be in pretty good condition so she must belong to someone. This darling girl is an absolute gem! She craves affection and is very gentle. She is approxmately 2 years old but is only a small build. She would make a lovely companion. Is this your lost cat?
	1559 "Puss" - Dark Torti - Female Puss is gentle cat who is 10 years old. She still has a lot of life yet to live and lots of love to give. Puss is very affectionate and loves cuddles. She would make a wonderful companion and deserves a good home.
	1563 Black kitten - Male 12 week old black kitten.
	1565 Tabby - Female 3 year old tabby female and her 12 week old black kitten 1563.
	1567 Black - Male Nice natured 5 year old big boy.
	1569 Champagne Ginger - Male Found Murwillumbah after being caught in a trap. Beautiful natured and cuddly 10 year old.
	1572 Champagne kitten - Male This adorable little approx 13 weeks old is as cuddly as he is cute. He has a playful side but also likes his naps. He would make a wonderful companion.
	1573 Torti kitten - Female This gorgeous 13 weeks old is a special little kitten. While she can be a bit timid to begin with, she loves cuddles and will stay in your arms for as long as you will let her. She would make a lovley addition to a nice, quiet household.

	1577 "Gizmo" - Ginger/White - Male This delightful, approx. 6 months, old boy is full of personality! Gizmo will literally leap into your arms for a cuddle. He is extremely affectionate with people and with other cats. He just adores his tabby sister (578 - Nala). Gimzo would make the perfect companion for anyone lucky enough to adopt him.
	1578 "Nala" - Tabby - Female Nala is a very sweet, approx. 6 months old, girl who is great with other cats. She has a beautiful nature and is very affectionate. Nala is well worth a visit to the pound to meet this darling gir.
	1579 "Trixie" - Dark Torti - Desexed Female Trixie is a gentle, easy going 12 years old girl with a beautiful nature. She would be a wonderful companion in a peaceful environment.

Cats with Foster Carer

The following cats are not in the pound. Some have been rescued as their short time in the pound ran out and they were due to be destroyed. They are all still in need of a loving home.

All ADULT cats in foster care are available at the very special price of $70, kittens in foster care are $110. If the animals are to reside in NSW an additional $40 (or $15 for Pensioner) needs to be paid for the Lifetime Registration of the animal. The price of $70 is heavily subsidised by Friends of the Pound as we have already paid for the desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, vet-checks.

We are a not for profit organisation and these prices are a small percentage of what it actually costs us for the basic veterinary expenses involved with each animal.

If you are in a position to pay more for a foster cat we welcome any further donations.

	With Foster Carer "Chloe" - Desexed Female With a lot of love and patience, she has come out of her shell – the result is a mischievous, loving little cat that craves human company even more than she loves her tucker. Unexpected noises and sudden movements still startle Chloe, so she probably is not suited for a home with young children but has no problems with small dogs and is tolerant of other cats. Chloe needs a gentle, loving owner who has experience with cats and wants a companion who will return tenfold the affection and attention showered on her. His name is Lucky or Wong Wong, meaning good fortune in Chinese. He is microchipped, vaccinated and very friendly and warms easily to strangers. He has been around adults most of his life although, I am sure he can settle easily into a setting with children. Lucky is litter trained as well as an outdoor and indoor cat.

"Teddy" - Himalayan Persian - Desexed Male

Teddy is a 2 year old? Himalayan Persian, a beautiful big boy, sweet-natured, de-sexed and litter-trained! Affectionate and handsome, he loves being with people, although noisy children and vaccuum cleaners send him running! I don't think a small dog would be a problem - He has been curious with dogs who haven't rushed up to him, barking madly... in fact, he'd probably love it as he craves company!? His elderly mum cannot look after him anymore, so his foster mum has kept him?indoors for 3 months now (because of the ticks and snakes here... shudder) ..and it's driving him nuts!? He prefers to pop out into the sunshine for an hour or two in the morning, then remain indoors. Adonation towards Friends of the Pound would be appreciated
